International civil aviation obligations
Belize participates in the international civil aviation system and develops its national framework with reference to the Convention on International Civil Aviation and the Standards and Recommended Practices of the International Civil Aviation Organization.
The Department coordinates with relevant national, regional and international partners on safety, security, air navigation, facilitation, environmental and regulatory matters.
National implementation
International standards are implemented through Belizean legislation, regulations, approved procedures and oversight programmes. Users should rely on the current national requirement and official publication applicable to their activity.
